search item in starter

-- HikaShop version -- : 4.2.1
-- Joomla version -- : 3.9.10
-- PHP version -- : 7.2

Hi,
Is it possible to search on content within the starter hikashop? I activated the hika plugin "HikaShop products search plugin", "Smart Search - HikaShop Products" and "HikaShop categories search plugin" and selected all the items where to search in, but I can't get it to work.

Hi,

Yes, HikaShop Starter, as well as the other editions of HikaShop are integrated with Joomla's search system. So you'll be able to configure the HikaShop products / categories search plugins via the Joomla plugins manager and then use the Joomla search module to search through your products / categories.
Note however that for more complex searching capabilities, with dropdowns / checkboxes / radios / etc, HikaShop Business has a "filter" system :

OK That's what I thought too, but when I activate all plugins and I try to search something nothing appeared. Is there something more I have to do after activating the plugins?

Hello,

Activating the "HikaShop products search" plugin should actually be enough to properly search products using the Joomla search module.
You can eventually check both these options :
- "Out of stock products" is set to YES
- "Fields" is set to at least "product_name, product_description"
