-- Joomla version -- : 3.9.18

I'm trying to get the brand title to display above each brand category instead of a list of brands at the top of the products, is this possible? I'm using the Brand Listing menu and have unsuccessfully tried various settings. Please note the URL is behind a protected directory as it's a test site.

Current layout
Brand A Brand B Brand C
Brand A product 1 Brand A product 2 Brand A product 3
Brand B product 1 Brand B product 2 Brand B product 3
Brand C product 1 Brand C product 2 Brand C product 3

Required layout
Brand A
Brand A product 1 Brand A product 2 Brand A product 3
Brand B
Brand B product 1 Brand B product 2 Brand B product 3
Brand C
Brand C product 1 Brand C product 2 Brand C product 3

Hello,

It's possible, for this go in your Item Menu, and Products Options tab, and finally in Display part :

And finally in order to don't have the categories list on top of the page, use a custom css code to "hide" this part.
Have a look on this tutorial to see how to proceed.
Hope this will fit your needs.
regards

Thank you for your reply, I have set the Brand Menu Listing/Product Option/Data Display/Sub elements filter to 'Grouped by Category'. But this now displays the Product Category not the Brand Category

New Layout
Category X
Brand A product 1 Brand A product 2 Brand A product 3
Category Y
Brand B product 1 Brand B product 2 Brand B product 3
Category Z
Brand C product 1 Brand C product 2 Brand C product 3

Required Layout
Brand A
Brand A product 1 Brand A product 2 Brand A product 3
Brand B
Brand B product 1 Brand B product 2 Brand B product 3
Brand C
Brand C product 1 Brand C product 2 Brand C product 3

I've attached a screen print of the new layout, note that the Product Category is 'Artist Name' e.g. 'Jennifer Allen' and the Brand Category is 'by Artist Name' e.g. 'by Jennifer Allen'.

Hello,

Brands is a category from this, that means that you haven't define the right Main category to displayed, in your Item Menu, go to Categories options tab, and in Data Display part, change the Main Category option for your parent brands Category.
Hope this will fit your needs.

Thank you for your reply, however this is how the Brand Menu item is set up already. See the attachments for screen prints of the menu item set up and the brand (Artist) setup.
I've tried deleting the Brand categories and recreating them but it's still the same result, only the Product Category headings display. Each product is set up with a Product Category of 'Artist Name' and the Brand of 'by Artist Name' as shown on the third attachment.

Hello,
I don't understand how it's possible, are you sure that you edit the correct Item Menu ? The best way to check this is to get the Html class of your Item Menu, for this use your navigator inspector tool (point your frontend listing title, and right-click => Inspect/inspector tool).

Your Item Menu Id is built with hikashop_category_information_menu_XX, and where XX is your Item Menu Id.

If you editing the correct Item Menu, then I don't know, and you must provide us some access (frontend/backend) to process some tests by ourselves.
Note : Use our Contact us form to provide these references, and don't forget to add to your message an Url link to this topic.

Awaiting news from you.
Regards

Hi,

I'll have to disagree with what Philippe said.
There is no option to do what you want.
The "group by category" option will do the layout you want, but for categories, not brands.
What you want would require PHP development in the file product / listing.php via the menu Display>Views to do the grouping by brand instead of doing it by category.

Thank you for the update Nicolas, it's always good to know that I'm trying to do the impossible or at least more work than I had planned. I'll probably just switch to the Category/Product layout.

Thank you for all the prompt replies.
