1. is support strong,reliable and fast?
2. is the support team the real developers of hikashop or just a support team created to forward questions answers?
3. do you have days off?
4. is hikashop comparable to virtuemart? jmarket or others?
5. if there is a bug need fixing, do i need to pay for that bug to get fixed?
6. how long do you fix a bug? say 1 month, 2months or more?

i already wasted a lot of time and money from other products and i just want to make sure if hika is worth the time and effort.

1. i want to build a multi vendor site, what is my first step?
2. i actually installed hikashop free version, can i start with this then upgrade to essential? will there be any issues?
3. if all is good ill upgrade to business is this ok? will the work done on essential be overwritten?
4. same thing if we feel everything is fine we get hikamarket, will there be any issues?
5. is my sequence correct? is the order of upgrade correct?
6. also what days do your office close? holidays ? sat and sundays? i hope this does not offend you. we are a company that seeks long term relationships. So we just want to know when and when not you are available.

hi

im planning to use hikashop, business and multivendor. I want to know if it is possible to export existing data from jmarket. It is a multivendor component for joomla as well. We have been using this for almost a year but decided that it has to much bugs and issues that can be fixed.

we have around 600 vendors already and a a lot of custom work. We dont want to trash the whole project. We just want to remove and replace jmarket.

Any ideas? import export tool would be nice. Also are the registered members considered as vendors? or is there a accreditation process?

if i use sql or directly create the fields on phpmyadmin how will this reflect on the front end?

also can i install hika products together with jmarket? do you forsee any issues? it will be easier for us to have both slowly migrating between components.

i would like to add manufacturers in my installation but i cant see any fields. how do i do this?

also is there a plugin to magnify the products?

ok im trying to export / import basic information from joobi jmarket to hikashop. In joobi jamarket multivendor user creates an account for his personal account applies as a vendor for another manufacturer / vendor account what about in hikashop?

i can use phpmyadmin if hikashop has ni import export tool. I want to know if hikashop utilizes separate tables for the user profile and vendor profile.

For support ; it will depend on the question and on the context. If your component is not up to date and the latest package can improve of fix the point, the answer would be to renew and update. After that if it is configuration related, we can still provide some help and if we feel that there is some abuse of the support without a licence, we could ask for an active licence.
The licences allow us to live and to keep working on our softwares.

are all updates downloadable? or is it web installed?

The cron task is directly link to the license system so once the license expires, the cron is stopped.
Some companies propose cron services and it is also possible to configure one if you use a dedicated server (it is explained in the HikaShop documentation).

is there a specific cron task that is vital to the component? cron task that component needs in order to work perfectly?

hi how do i select which category vendors can see? i tried to select categories options > parent category > product category.

but on the front end vendors can see the root and all other categories. How do i change this to show product category only

i want to display tabs on the default products page.
configuration is
Layout on product page > Default.
take note that i dont want to remove the specifications column located on the right side of the product.

i just want to add tabs below the product.

1. how can i do this?how can i create tabs using the default layout?how can i move the position of the specifications column?
2. what if i use tabular view, how do i add custom fields to appear below add to cart? on jikashop backend you can add custom fields but no way to select where to display it.
3. what are the positions available for custom fields?
4. is it possible to remove custom fields inside the specifications tab?
5. how to replicate custom fields inside specifications tab?

i got it to work by copying the code. how do i tell custom fields to appear on the right side or appear on the tabs? Example i want company profile to appear on the tabs whilte minimum order quantity will appear on the right side below add to whish list.

another example is what if i want to add a custom field infront of the product title or hikashop_product_name_main, i know how to create the custom field but dont know how to change its location

Also how do i remove the custom fields from the specifications tab? or specifications. apparently all custom fields appear under specifications.
