Hi.

I'm using the tax override plugin to make the calculations in the checkout, but when I connect to Paypal to do the payment the tax is not the same that appears in the checkout.

I do my tests with this data:

product price: 8.26 eur
shipping: 1.65 eur
VAT (21%): 2.08 eur
Total: 11.99 eur

When I go to Paypal, quantities are:

product price: 8.26 eur
shipping: 1.65 eur
VAT (21%): 2.09 eur
Total: 12.00 eur

May I change anything more to get correct quantities in Paypal when using the plugin?

Please Help. Thanks.

Hi Lanzanet,

I tried it with the same values and it's working fine.
Are you sure you are using the last version of hikashop? It was a bug we fixed recently.

Hi. Yes, using last version and this error still appears, if I switch to 'Not send order details' in paypal plugin then the quantity is ok, only the problem is when sending details.

I just tried with both this option activate or not and it always get the same result (11.99).
Could you make me a screenshot of your paypal configuration?

Hi, I attach too the image of paypal details. Tax is 2,09 instead of 2,08, and then the total is 12,00 instead of 11,99

Thanks.

could you make me a screeshot of the product in the backend? (edition view).
Moreover, the paypal page you have is the one you should have with the details so it's quite strange, what's the result with option activated?

Product edit view attached. Paypal result with option activated (sending details) is attached in the above post. With option deactivated it shows only the total (11,99) and quantity: 1, Do you want I attach it to you?

It seems an error calc in tax, all quantities are the same but tax (2,09 instead of 2,08), and of course it affects the total amount.

Thanks.

I was more interesting by the price field of your product.
It's working well on my testing website so I'm looking for elements which may make this bug happen.

That's the problem.
Why do you have so much digit after the coma? Is it normal?
If it's not, just put 8.26 as a no taxed price and everything should work fine.
The new tax calculation isn't rounding anymore so you have exact prices when you pay (it's useful for big quantities)

I don't know why about so much digits. In early versions of hikashop and when I worked with prices with taxes I put the total price and hikashop calculated the price without tax, so hikashop put the digits.

I'm going to test what you said. I'll report the results.

Thanks.

I've tested it and now it works with the data I gave to you, but I've made other test with 2 products and it doesn't work. Both products have only two decimals in price without tax, and now the difference between paypal and order are 0,02. I attach images.

All quantities are the same except the tax, and the correct tax is calculated in hikashop order and not in paypal invoice.

The only solution there is to disable the details option.
Let me explain you the issue.
The new version of Hikashop is now avoiding every round on price in order to calculate the exact price. This feature is really useful for a lot of people who want exact amount on checkout and avoid every round errors. However, if the total displayed in Hikashop checkout is perfect, when you activate the "send details" option, paypal is making round with the given prices. Thus, the calculated total price is different since paypal round the product price and so on.
That's why the only solution there is to disable this option.

I hope I've been clear, do not hesistate if you have any other issues :).

Ok, I've configured my shop in that way, so the more important thing for me is that the client pay in paypal the correct total amount, and disabling details works perfectly, because details are sent to the client by mail in hikashop order.

Thanks for your attention and good support.

Best regards.
