Empty popup window over paypal popup

Hi,
since the update to HikaShop Business 6.6.0 [2609141704] our paypal credit/debit option is popping up a window to complete the paypal part. However, an additional empty popup is appearing over the top of it. It can be moved out of the way (see attached image). How can remove that and returning to running the form on the same pages as the paypal payment method selection button?

Hi Ian and Stu,

An empty popup opening on top of the PayPal popup usually comes from the Cross-Origin-Opener-Policy of the website, which prevents the PayPal popup from communicating with your payment page. You can change it in the Joomla plugins manager: open the "System - HTTP Headers" plugin and, in its Plugin tab, set the "Cross-Origin-Opener-Policy" setting to "same-origin-allow-popups". Then clear your cache and try the payment again.

If your hosting or a security extension also sends HTTP headers on your website, the same setting may need to be changed there as well.

Thanks Nicolas,
that solved the extra/blank popup issue. However, we had the form set to load 'in page' rather than via a pop-up which changed automatically as part of the latest update. Is there a way to change it back to loading the form in the same page as the payment type buttons?

Hi Ian and Stu,

Could you first check the settings of your PayPal Checkout payment method? Make sure the credit card settings are properly set up (the "Enable credit cards" setting in particular), and save the payment method once, even if you don't change anything. That way, all its settings are stored with the options of the current version.

Also, were you using the old "PayPal" payment method before the update rather than "PayPal Checkout"? They don't display the payment the same way, so the interface can differ when switching from one to the other.

If it still doesn't look like before, please post a screenshot of the settings of the payment method and of the payment page, so that we can see what is displayed.
