Hi,

You have two ways of adding tabs on the product details page.
Either you set the "layout on product page" option of the configuration to "tabular" and then you edit the file show_tabular via the menu Display->Views like explained here ( www.hikashop.com/forum/product-category-...-tabular-layout.html ), or you install a joomla tab extension like tabber and you edit the file show_default via the menu Display>Views and you add you tabs at the end as per the tab extension recommendation like explained here : www.hikashop.com/forum/2-general-talk-ab...uct-detail-page.html

Hi,

The links I provided work fine on my end.
Please click on them instead of copy/pasting them in your browser because otherwise it will take the shortened URLs with the ... in the middle instead of the full URL and you won't see the correct page.

Hi,

There are several javascript errors on your pages which prevents the javascript of the tabs to be loaded properly:
Uncaught TypeError: object is not a function 137-case-w-1-35lb-magnet:357
Uncaught ReferenceError: RokBoxSettings is not defined rokbox.js:179
These seem to come from your template's javascript.

Regarding that you have the description "twice", you can remove the first one with such CSS:
#hikashop_product_description_main_mini{ display:none; }

Regarding the extra columns you want to add with your CSV import, you first need to create them by creating for each one a custom field of the table "product" via the menu Display>Custom fields. Otherwise, the import will just tell you that the columns do not exist, as you can see in the error messages that you copy/pasted.

Hello Nicolas,
I was able to import all my products and eliminate the double description, thank you very much.

Now I have 3 different issues,
1) The Categories I set up are displaying 2 times in the same page.
www.lightspeed-security-sanantonio.com/i...ddenspycameras-store 2) I cannot find where I can change the Title "Spy Camera Store" that appears above the firs set of categories.
3) I cannot get rid of the code that appears below every one of my products descriptions.
I thank you in advance for your help with these issues.

Hi,

1. Go in the menu Display>Content menus and edit the menu with the id 237. There, disable the module with the id 263 in the "associated modules" 'select' button popup and that will avoid that.

2. It is either the 'component heading' of your menu item that you can change in the options of your menu item when you edit it via the Joomla menu manager, or the name of the main category, and in that case it's that main category name that you want to change via the categories listing of HikaShop.

3. This apparently comes from modifications you made in the file "show" of the view "product" via the menu Display>Views. An easy solution is to hide that zone by adding such CSS in your frontend CSS:

.hikashop_submodules[display:none;}

Hello Nicolas,
Thank you for your response.
Items 1 and 2 are resolved.
Item 3, I followed the instructions, but it makes the products not show at all in the sub category.
Any other way you can think of to get rid of that code without affecting the display of products.

Thank you.

Hi Nicolas,

Another problem arise. I uploaded the first images to a product and when you go to the products, you can see the thumbnail with the image, but once you click on it you get the following error.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_VARIABLE in /home/floorimp/public_html/lightspeed-security-sanantonio.com/templates/rt_chapelco/html/com_hikashop/product/show_default.php on line 202

It happens the same to the other products that have no images of that category.
If you go to another category that has no images in the products, you can access the products detail page with no problems.

Thank you

Hi Nicolas
I was able to fix almost all problems.
The only one I still have right now is the code that appears at the end of the products display page.
I found the code at the end of the Product/Show_Default.
I hope you can fin a solution for this, because it looks bad.
Thank you.

Ah yeah, I had forgot about the listings.
Use that CSS instead and it will do the trick:

.hikashop_product_page .hikashop_submodules[display:none;}

Hi Nicolas
I have another problem, I upgraded to business, so i can have a filter instead of a menu in the specific category you will see in the link..
I set up 2 filter to see the layout, and set them up to categories. You can see they are doubled, the check box does not appear, and and it looks terrible.
www.lightspeed-security-sanantonio.com/i...spy-cameras-and-dvrs

I also need to know how to set up the filters using subcategories as filters, and if i can set it up in a way they can choose 1 or more categories to filter the main category products. I want all of this to appear as if it was a menu on the side bar as a advance sort for my customers.

I am also attaching screen shots of the set up I used.

Thank you very much.

Hi Nicolas,

I forgot to add that when you go to the link I put in the las post. If you click on any of the displayed products, you will see a blank page.
It will not show the product page.

Thank you,

Rudy

Hi,

The filters are doubled because you have two HikaShop filters modules enabled on your website.
You don't get any checkbox either because you don't have any sub categories in the category that you selected in your filter, or because you turned on the "dynamic filter" option of the filter (make sure that it's turned off).

Hello Nicolas
Thank you.
Now I have a different problem, I had to delete all my filters.
I have 1 main category that has 4 subcategories and 1 of the subcategories had 10 sub subcategories that I want to use as filters on the side bar of the subcategory.
So my customers can use 1 or more of the subcategories at the same time ti filter the products.
How can I do this. I did not find anything that can help me.
Thank you
Rudy

Hi,

You need to create two filters. One for your main category, and one for your sub category.
That way, you'll have always the two filters displayed.
An alternative would be to use a category listing module like the "HikaShop categories on 2 levels" module which is installed by default and which will be able to display the products of one of the categories/subcategories.

Hi Nicolas,
I tried your options with no success.
Maybe I have not been clear on what I need to do. In the following link you can see I have a category that is called "SleuthGear Spy Cameras and DVRs" under that category you have 10 subcategories in the menu. www.lightspeed-security-sanantonio.com/i...spy-cameras-and-dvrs
I would like those subcategories to be Check box filters in the side bar under the category like they are right now, where the customer could select various check boxes that would narrow down the number of products displayed.
This subcategories would be the filters that would help display the product with the characteristics he wants.
I really would appreciate a very detailed step by step of what I need to do to achieve this.
I have read the filters section over and over again, but just cannot get it to work.
Thank you,
Rudy

Hi,

You created one filter per sub category. But that's not what I said you should do.
You should create only one filter with the "SleuthGear Spy Cameras and DVRs" category selected and have it apply on categories. The filter will then display automatically one checkbox per sub category of that category.
