Hi,

Because you're using a product layout type which display the product with his description.

I'm afraid I need a little more than that link. There are so many options and I don't want to
keep playing "option roulette" It seems like it is displaying a second page which is all broken.
The top of the page is correct, then there is a

Display #
Results 1 - 7 of 7

and then a new broken page starts.

okay I think I fixed it by deleting any "Associated modules" however now I can only display one category.
So I must have broken something else. Too many options!

Instead of using a menu item of the type "hikashop products listing", you could create a menu item of the type "hikashop categories listing" and in that case, you would be able to get several categories to display.
Or you could also configure the main category as the parent category of your products listing menu, set the "sub element filter" option of the listing to "group by category" and you'll get a products listing of all the products, grouped by category.
