Hello
I have a slide module, and I want show it just in Home page, so I select visible just in Main menu for Home item.
I dont have the problem for item menu that shows a single product, but i have a problem for item menu that shows a category.
Infact if I click on item menu of a category, the slide is hide, but when I click on one of product of that category the slide comes again.
To solve that I have to do item menu for each single product of shop and than make that menu invisible?? or there is an other solution more simple??

Thanks
FRank

Hi,

You can use the "menu assignment" option of your modules to select on which menu to display them or not when you edit them via the Joomla modules manager.
If you need a more fine grained control on that to have the modules display or not for different pages of the same menu, you would need to use the extension Advanced Modules Manager:

Thank you nicolas for your help

I already did what you suggest me, infact the module is assigned just to Home, but I dont know why on 20 products the module comes just with 3 products
Any idea??

Thanks

Hi,

Well, the module said that there is just 3 products for the targeted category.
Even if you have a pagination set to display 20 products, if there is just 3 products to display, the module can't display more.

So you should check the configuration of your module in order to be sure that you are display the products from the right category ; or the products in the sub categories, etc.

There are 20 products in the all shop, but just 3 in the category "Semi di chia".
I have a doubt.
I set hikashop as my home, and I chose to display the category "semi di chia", infact if you click on products in home page the module slide stay visible instead of hide.

Could be that the problem??

Thanks Frank

Hi,

When you edit the module via the menu Display>Content modules, you'll see the option "menu". That's the target menu item of the links in your products listing module.
There you're supposed to select a category listing menu item.

Then, in the Joomla options of your module (that you can access via the Joomla modules manager), you can use the "menu assignment" to not assign the module to the menu item that you selected in the "menu" setting of the module.
That way, when you click on a link of the module, the module won't display.

Hi,

We would be happy to help further, but we would need to know exactly what module you don't want (with a screenshot of the page and the area circled) on which page and on which page you want it (with the links to the pages). Otherwise, we're trying to understand what you want but can only provide generic information.

Thanks soo much Nicolas, I try to explain better by the help of some screenshot.
You can see in the first screenshot, I have a slide and under that 3 products. I want that slide is visible just in Home page, infact in property of module I selected the item of main menu "HOME".
Now if I click on products under the slide, example the first one "Barattolo semi di chia 300 g. " with link:
mytest2015.altervista.org/index.php/hika...o-semi-di-chia-300-g
The slide stay visible second screenshot ( NO GOOD)
While if I click on the same product from right menu "Barattolo da 300g." with the link:
mytest2015.altervista.org/barattolo-da-300-g.html
The slide is hide, third screenshot (GOOD), no problem with all products on right menu.

I hope is more clear now  and sorry for my english
Thanks
Bye
Frank

Hi,

So in the settings of the module displaying the 3 products under the slide you have to select another entry for the "menu" option ;)
This way you can select a menu not having the slide module associated to it, and this will do the job.

Hi,

Thank you for the explanations, that's way better.

Enter the URL of the product from the left menu in the "canonical URL" setting of the product when you edit it and make sure that the "force canonical URL" setting is turned on in the HikaShop configuration.
That should fix the issue.
