Hi,

Is there a way to allow out of stock items to be purchased? Setting the quantity unlimited isn't a solution as we want to be able to keep track of what we have in inventory.

I did some searching and haven't found anything recently.

Thanks.

Hi,

In HikaShop if you want to specify your stock ; it will use you stock for the sales and it won't allow any "out of stock".
You can use a "product custom field" if you want to store the "stock" in another field in your database.
You can also put your stock plus a "out of stock" marge and then customize the product page to display correctly the stock value (removing the marge and display a "out of stock" message if the final value is negative).

Hi,

Thanks for the work around. I should be able to work with that.

Is there a way for Hikashop to automatically reduce the "product custom field" or would this have to be to done manually?

Thanks.

Hi,

You should be able to use a "mass action" to do so.
