Hi guys,

This HikaShop Content Module is totally confusing...

webshop

So far, I have placed all categories, products, characteristics, values and some related products.

But now, when working on the categories in the column on the left, I am not sure why this is happening:

I go to WEBSHOP and I see the categories in a nice 9x9 grid. ==> 01
I see the productgroups on the left, with their subcategories.

I click the first category in the left column, Heren T-shirts. This is what I get ==> 02
This looks nice, however I prefer to see the subcategories in a row ==> 04, not in a 1-wide column.

Ok, now I click Heren T-shirts Eindhoven, it gives me a blank webshop page ==> 03
Why is this happening?

The links are ok, when I click the categories in the 9x9 grid like in the first picture. ==> 04

In your demo I see a nice Categories module on the left. ==> 05
When I go to the demo admin, I can't look at the settings of that Categories module. It is not editable. What a pity.

Furthermore,.... when I go to the category Cadeau's I see a gap between some of the products ==> 06
Why is this happening?

Kind regards,
Edze

Hi guys,

Can we do this outside the forum topic?
I think this might become a very long story.

Also, you are welcome to have a look in the admin, if you wish to do so. How can I send you the login data?

Kind regards,
Edze

Hi,

When you click on a link of a category of a HikaShop content module, the system will use the menu item that you selected in the "menu" setting of the module in order to display the elements of that category in the main area.
So as you can see, the link of your categories in the module is like that:
www.eindhovenwinkel.nl/hikashop/hikashop...egory/heren-t-shirts
Meaning that the menu selected in your module is the one with the alias "hikashop-menu-for-module-94".
I suppose that you have configured that menu item to have only 1 column for the categories listing.
I would recommend to change that "menu" setting of your module in order to use your main menu item with the alias "webshop". That way, the links of your module will have the same presentation as on the webshop menu item.

The accordion look of the categories listing module on our demo website is also something you can get provided that you configured the module proprely.
Normally, you actually don't have to do all that yourself. When HikaShop is installed for the first time on a website, it will add such categories listing module (a HikaShop content module instance configured to look like the one on our demo website). So you would just have to enable it via the Joomla modules manager.

We had to disable the access to the modules on our demo website for security reasons:
