Cannot select category

-- HikaShop version -- : 3.0.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.6.5

Strange problem. As you can see from the attachment, I have added a category under "Automotive" called "Auto-Acc" and this category is visible if the "Automotive" category is selected in the left hand menu of categories.

However, in the left hand menu, this category does not show up and is, therefore, unselectable when dealing with products. I cannot see how this situation exists.

Hi,

Probably a problem with the category tree data.
Click on the "rebuild" button at the top of the categories listing and it might help.

Unfortunately it didn't Nicolas. I looked in PHPMyAdmin and it's definitely there and with the same fields as the other 3 categories under "Automotive" which show correctly.

Can you please provide more details about these categories ?
What their "category type" ? Does the category published ? etc.

Wish it was as easy as it wasn't published but it isn't. As could be seen in the first image I attached, it's viewable in the right hand pane when selecting the parent category. I have attached a screenshot of the additional items in the category. No idea what a category type is???

Hi,

Can you edit the hikashop_category table in your PHPMyAdmin and provide screenshots from the categories data there ?
The category_type is one of the columns of that table.

So what is the category entry with the category_id set to 14 ?
I think that there actually might not be any problem and that the Auto-Acc category is simply below the PBS category and that's why you see it on the right listing (which display all the sub elements regardless of their level) and the left explorer doesn't have it as the PBS category is not expanded.

Hi,

Unfortunately, your screenshots do not contain the information of the category with the id 14. There are only the categories with the ids 1, 2, 29, 31 and 36. So that doesn't help.

Unfortunately, all the data of the categories is correct. So I don't see why that category would be left out.
I guess we'll need to debug it out.
