Related Products and People Who Have Bought

I am having some issue getting Related Products to be displayed on my product details pages. I have enabled the module and configured it the way I felt necessary as well as selected it in the Global Configurations of HikaShop. I still am unable to see it on the pages.

I do have a question though.

1. Is it possible to show multiple modules on the product detail page using the above noted format?
2. Is there a module that displays "Users who have bought this product" or something similar?
3. Is there a way to show a Parent Product and it's Child products all on the same page?

I am trying to achieve a layout similar to this: www.screencast.com/t/bbodO0t6

Thank you,
James

Hi,

1. It's possible to have several modules yes. But I don't see the point of having several modules if you configured them all the same since they'll all display the same thing.

2. There isn't. There is an option "related products of the products in the cart" that you can activate in the HikaShop content modules. When you do, the module will only display the products related to the products in the cart.

3. Yes. When you have variants to your product, if you change the "characteristics display method" setting to "list", you'll get a listing of variants similar to your screenshot at the bottom of the product page.

Thank you Nicolas.

Regarding this

I am having some issue getting Related Products to be displayed on my product details pages. I have enabled the module and configured it the way I felt necessary as well as selected it in the Global Configurations of HikaShop. I still am unable to see it on the pages.

Do you think you can take a look at my configuration settings and help me understand why I am unable to see the module for related products?

Regarding the other questions:
1. Displaying several modules would have been if there was a module to show people who have purchased the product.
2. Gotcha
3. For this setting it is product specific, correct? Does each variant have independent inventory that can be managed?

Lastly, do you have a feature request section where I can ask for a Module or Plugin to be created to show "People who have purchased?"

Thank you

Hi,

0. Provide screenshots of:
- the popup you get when you click on the "select" button of the "modules under the product page" setting of the HikaShop configuration
- of the HikaShop options tab of the enabled modules in that popup.
- of a product with related products
and provide a link to that product.
Then we can look and tell you what's wrong.

3. Each variant indeed have an independent inventory. That setting is for all the products with variants/characteristics.

4. You can post about that here:

Hi,

You want to turn off the "related products..." setting of your module since otherwise, it will only display the related products of the current product which are also related products of the products in the cart.

If you don't see it after that, then try to switch to the default template of Joomla. I'm thinking that it could potentially be linked to an override of the product page view in your template which would not have the code to display the modules under the product page (not likely, but not impossible).

You'll probably have to display the module in the Joomla modules manager so that it doesn't display on all the pages in the position 7.

That setting changed worked perfectly!

Now I just need to figure out how to show the Product Name, Description and Image. If you have a quick answer to this great. If not I will keep digging in the docs and playing with the module.

Thank you again!

Hi,

You want to edit that module via the Joomla modules manager. Then, you can edit the display settings of the module under the "HikaShop options" tab. There, you have the layout setting to configure what you want to display in there.
And you can further customize the display of the related products module, with CSS/view overrides:
