Any plans for Sumup payment gateway?

Hello,

I have recently started taking the Sumup payment card reader at live events and it works really well with all major credit cards. I would like to use Sumup on my Hikashop site as it gives me greater flexibility and is cheaper for me than using PayPal. Sumup is gaining in popularity in the U.K.

Are there any plans to produce a Sumup payment gateway for Hikashop?

Many thanks.

Simon

Hi,

You're the first one talking about it so we didn't know about it yet. So there are no plans for that at the moment.
Note that payment plugins can be developed by any PHP developer. We provide documentation for them here:
www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/6...r-documentation.html
So if you really want it rapidely you can have it developed by a developer. Such development usually costs a few hundred euros.

Bonjour,

Nicolas thanks in advance.

TBH I don't really know what to fill in at the plugin. I have been reading on the SumUp page through the link in the french readme.md file. but that doesn't gets me to a working version sadly.
I have made me the api on the sumup site and got the 2 keys from it. the public and the secret key.
I have used them in the plugin on the places that I thought it should be.. (see image), but not sure if I need to fill in the public key into the: Client ID field?
I have filled in the payment URL with the one I found on the SumUp page in an image..

So for now, If I try it this way, I get an page not found on my site (see image) so do I need to create a payment page my self. and put the given urls on it somehow? and if yes how to link that one to the plugin and or SumUp

Anyway Thanks for trying to help me out here...
Greetz Appie

btw keys and mail used are from a dev id I got from sumup

Hello,

As we didn't interfere with Sumup servers we can only provide guidance (from guess) and from this documentation (link find here )
And more especially in this part that will answer most of your question.

For the most specific points :

"You have to specify this payment cancel URL on your configuration account"
=> We think that's just an error, if you see 2 times this tips message.
But the point is to remember to add this URL address in your merchant settings (on Sumup platform) for cancel case.

"Return URL"
=> This will allow you to define where the customer will arrived when the payment will be finished.

"You have to specify this payment notification URL on your configuration account"
=> Same idea than before but for succeed payment return.

We hope that this will allow you to be able to get your payment work.
Regards

Philip, thanks for trying to help me out here...
TBH I still am struggling with it, so I have reached out to the SumUp support team.

Lets hope they can help me out, or the plugin developer is reading along and could fill in some blanks. (thanks for sharing btw)
If I get things working I will try to make an howto for it and post it here for others..

Keeping my fingers crossed..

Appie

Philip don't be sorry, I am glad you and all forum members did try to help out..

That said, for now I have given up on Integrating SumUp in my web-shop:( , I tried everything I could think of but keep getting an page not found error.
For now I have no more ideas to get it working for me. Probably I give it another try in a few months with fresh ideas and a fresh view on things ;)

I have included the flow chart I got from sumup, but this is more for developers I guess and I am not one of them haha..
Hopefully others can use it, hope it helps them out...

Thanks again and Greetz,

Appie

Excuse me for jumping in here but I had the same problem.

SumUp integration support said that 'We’d like to inform you that in order to set-up and integrate SumUp as a payment gateway into your website, your SumUp profile should be fully onboarded.'

I received an email from SumUp an hour later saying 'We are pleased to inform you that your SumUp profile is now fully functional and without any limitations.'

And now I can connect to the SumUp 'card entry' thing on my web site except an order is generated and emails sent before the card details are entered and confirmed with Sumup.

Hi,

That's normal. The order is created by HikaShop at the end of the checkout, and then the payment plugin redirects to the payment gateway payment page or directly display the payment form on the page.
And the "order creation notification" and "order admin notification" emails are sent by Hikashop when an order is created, before the payment, that's normal too.
Once the payment is made, the payment plugin normally changes the status of the order from "created" to "confirmed" and HikaShop sends the "order status notification" and "payment notification" emails.

If you don't want to confuse customers / the shop owner, you can disable the "order creation notification" and "order admin notification" emails in the System>Emails menu of HikaShop.
